Covid-19 Protocols
UC Tech 2022 will be conducted in accordance with prevailing state, county and UC San Diego Covid-19 protocols and precautions. Find UC San Diego policies on the Return to Learn website.
Masks and Testing Kits
As a courtesy upon check in, all on-campus participants will be provided one KN95 mask (last five days) and one rapid Covid test for optional use. Generally speaking, on the UC San Diego campus masks are recommended but not required indoors. Masks are required in classrooms, clinical areas and university transportation.
Note that those staying in UC San Diego campus housing are subject to stricter protocols as detailed on our Lodging page.
Symptom Screening and General Guidelines
On-campus participants are asked to use good judgement and keep the health and safety of others in mind while at UC Tech 2022. Additionally:
- UC San Diego attendees are required to complete the symptom screener each day before coming to campus and receive the green thumbs up. Other attendees, please use your organization’s equivalent, or conduct a brief self-assessment.
- Come prepared with a mask, vaccine documentation and other things you might need. Even if UC Tech 2022 doesn't require them per se, you may need them elsewhere during your visit and you'll want to be prepared if state, county or campus protocols change during your visit.
- If you're not feeling well, please stay in your room. All on-campus sessions will be available virtually.
